Let me introduce myself, my name is Jim Clark and. I grew up on the game bird industry. I bought my parents game farm and hunting preserve (established 1941), Blonhaven in 1978.
For the following 34 years, I grew the farm from raising 5,000 pheasants annually to 100,000 by retirement. I also operated Wisconsin's oldest hunt club until the sale in 2006.
I retired from the industry in 2011 and moved out west.
After some urging by Bill MacFarlane, I decided to return in 2013. I returned as a troubleshooter, mentor to some of the managerial staff and did some sales as well, all specializing in the flight bird division.
In 2015 I developed that companies Alberta release site and operated it for 4 months a year for 5 years
The company would send me out to different areas of the country or to a particular client as the needs arose usually in a consulting capacity to hunt clubs and game farms, as well as working in the companies several locations.
I served as president of NAGA, president of the Wisconsin Game Preserve Association as well as several years on the board of directors of both organizations. In addition, I have spoken at many conferences and seminars relating to all aspects of the game bird industry.
In February of 2021 I developed J Clark Consulting with my emphasis on raising high quality flight pheasants and advising hunting preserves
